Welcome, my name is Rachael.
I'm a Los Angeles native with a strong foundation in education and mental health. I began my studies in child development at Santa Monica College, which laid the groundwork for my deep interest in supporting children and families. I later earned a B.A. in Liberal Arts from California State University, Northridge (CSUN), with an emphasis on California teaching standards, and went on to complete an M.A. in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University Los Angeles.
Over the past decade, my work as an educator and child care provider has shaped a deep passion for supporting children and families—educationally, behaviorally, and emotionally. My background includes experience across preschool, elementary, and middle school settings, where I've served as a teacher, behavioral therapist, and school counselor. I’ve collaborated closely with interdisciplinary teams, always with the goal of helping children thrive. I completed my clinical training at The Maple Counseling Center and am currently a Reiss-Davis Fellow at Vista Del Mar, where I receive advanced training in child and family therapy. I also serve on the Program Committee at the Los Angeles Institute and Society of Psychoanalytic Studies (LAISPS), contributing to ongoing conversations in psychoanalytic education and practice.
In addition to my work at Community West—an intensive outpatient treatment facility for adolescents and young adults—I maintain a private practice as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #150455), where I offer relational, attuned therapy for children, teens, and individuals.
